Jarvis

A personal voice assistant, built by Norman for his own room.

Jarvis runs on a small computer in Norman's home. He talks to it to control his room's lights and devices, check the time, weather and buses, and keep track of his day. It is a personal project: it is not offered as a service, and Norman is its only user.

With Norman's permission, given through Google sign-in, Jarvis can:

• read his email to answer questions such as where a package is;
• read and add events on his calendar;
• tell him about his Google Classroom courses, assignments, due dates and announcements;
• find and read his Google Docs and Slides, and create new ones when he asks.

How Jarvis handles that information is described in its privacy policy.
